In addition to his film work, Joseph Seif is a commercial photographer specializing in portraiture. He has spent the better part of the last decade shooting commissions, editorial and advertising assignments. As in his film work, storytelling plays a key role in his image-making.
Joseph has a history of shooting successful "hybrid" campaigns, which are essentially a combination of motion picture and still photography. This gives his clients a creative upper edge, as hybrid shoots maintain a consistent look and feel across mediums, most often in the form of a billboard or print ad that is perfectly matched to a campaign's corresponding videos.
His work, often described as painterly and cinematic, has appeared in Fast Company, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, Worth Magazine, and many other publications.
