Case Study: Bedrock Robotics

Bedrock Robotics is an autonomous construction technology company that develops and deploys systems to automate existing heavy construction equipment. They retrofit existing machines with sensors, computing power, and AI to enable autonomous operation. This allows construction companies to tackle projects that were previously too difficult or expensive, increase productivity, and improve safety.

In May, 2025, Joseph Seif Visuals was contracted by Eclipse Ventures to capture a photo and video brand library as well as two films ahead of Bedrock’s official launch. Here is the resulting work from the project.

Brand Anthem Film

Bedrock’s brand anthem film, comprised of interviews with leadership and on-site B-roll. The film introduces Bedrock to the world with a richly edited narrative around the need for automation in construction for both efficiency and safety use cases, and dives into the technology behind Bedrock’s platform. Our contract cinematographer Dave Orr and the editorial team at Eclipse Ventures worked their magic to bring this to life.

Customer Film

Bedrock’s customer film featuring their client, Sundt Construction. Captured on various construction sites in Phoenix, AZ, it tells the story of how Sundt is implementing Bedrock across its fleet of excavators and the resulting improvements in safety and efficiency.

Press Kit Images

Print-ready collection of EPK (electronic press kit) images, delivered in time for Bedrock’s official launch out of stealth. Images from the EPK have been featured in Forbes, Fast Company, TechCrunch, and many other publications.

Brand Photography Library

A library of images captured over the course of four days in Mare island, CA and Phoenix, AZ. The images are wide-ranging in scope, and focus on the implementation of Bedrock’s autonomous technology, the excavators in operation at multiple construction sites, people at work on the sites, and the developers and engineers building the hardware and software.

B-Roll Video Library

A library of video b-roll captured over the course of four days in Mare island, CA and Phoenix, AZ to be used in the brand film and customer film, and as dynamic backgrounds on the website developed by Studio Everywhere.

Executive Portraits

Environmental portraits of Bedrock’s leadership team, photographed at their San Francisco office and on-site at the Mare Island testing location. Portraits of the Sundt Construction technology team were also captured on-site in Phoenix, AZ for customer and product marketing purposes.
